Easy pencil case

Posted by Laura 10/11/2016 0 Comment(s) Sewing,

So here is the worlds easiest pencil case tutorial! You only need some fabric, a zipper and a sewing machine. This one doesn't even have a lining, so it's very simple to make! I needed some fast pencil cases to get my pencils off the floor. I am very happy with the result! :)

This pencil case is made with a 20cm zipper and a piece of cotton. You just clean up the edges of the cotton (I did it with a seger), sew the zipper on to the two opposing edges of the fabric and then sew the two remaining edges so that the zipper is on one of the sides of the pouch. You could also sew it so that the zipper is in the middle of the pouch, and you'll get a pencil case that is flat on the other direction and the zipper stays on top when you keep the pencil case open. Either way, this is very fast to make, since it doesn't have any lining.

Sorry for the video quality, I'm just learning this stuff. I did buy a new microphone, and was able to record my talking after the video. My cameras have such bad microphones and this one was done with three cameras, so it wasn't an option to just record the talk as I went. I will get better at this, I swear! :D
