Novita Hile-scoodie

Posted by Laura 30/01/2017 0 Comment(s) Mental health,Knitting,

I have been knitting this scoodie for over a year now, and it has been such a struggle. I thought I would tell anyone trying to make this scoodie, that you actually can knit the two parts on their own, and then knit them together after you have enough. The directions suggest you knit 96 cm (37,8 inch) of the scarf part until you start making the hood part. I have knitted a bit more by mistake, since it really started to be fast to knit after I started knitting the scarf parts one at a time! Next part will be attaching the two scarves together and starting to knit the hood part.

The moral of the story is, if something feels bad for you, don't do it. I really should have started knitting it one scarf at a time a LONG time ago! I really do think it would have been ready by now. The scarf pattern is quite easy to knit once you wrap your head around it, but it's not so easy when you have two pieces to make at the same time - at least not for my brain! Knitting is supposed to be a relaxing hobby that gives you results. This project has been really difficult for me, a boogieman in the project bag, I didn't want to think about it since making it was so painful. But now it will finally be finished! I'll make a new video on the part where the two scarves are joined and the hood will start to make shape, the same video will have the finished project! So it might take a while :)
