This time I will be showing you my UnFinished Objects. Straight below is a video, under that is a short written version. Let's dig in! :)
I actually couldn't find all of my UFO's for this show and tell. For one, I'm 100% sure that I have not yet made a pair of leggings that I cut last year. So here is just the tip of the iceberg! ;D Also, I didn't realize that so many of my UFO's are actually knitted...
The Selbudeath socks have been with me for a while now... I actually thought I'd unravel them, but now that I saw them I'm actually quite proud! They are awesome so far :)
Then there's this tulle skirt I have been working on for months. I started making it with my Husqvarna Viking sewing machine, since it has the ruffle foot. But the ruffle foot did not want to play nice and now I'll have to ruffle the rest of the skirt up by hand and I'm afraid to do it!!
Since the winter is coming nearer and I don't have to drive a car, I was thinking of knitting myself a pair of mittens. The Cthulhu-mittens! :)
This gothic skirt has been on my blog previously also, and it is still unfinished. I may need to find a pattern to use on this one, I've already made two ill-fitting versions.
For the longest time I've been wanting to sew myself a belt with two pockets, one on each side. So I think I'll make a hippie-faerie-elf -type belt with pockets, I've already embroidered on the fabric, and those parts will be flaps on the pockets.
I used to make a lot of fabric bags, and this one is a bag I didn't sew up because the embroidery on it looked so small.... But it only needs to be sewn together, the straps added and then it's ready to haul some groceries home! :)
The same thing as with the bags: I used to sew a lot of bags and also BEANIES! These were for sale. But since I discontinued my company, I was left with some unfinished objects. I think I'll make a video on sewing a beanie hat when I make these into usable accessories.
And last but not least, two knitting projects: I'm trying to make "quick short socks", which have been in progress for a few years or something... Also, I started making a gothic-styled cropped wool shirt in the spring of this year. I did draw an idea of how I want this to come out, I'll try to find it and make a real blogpost about this shirt (when I make it into a wearable item). It has these "holes", which are made just by taking the yarn between two stitches and starting to stitch on that yarn, then after a few rows just drop that stitch. Since it was just a yarn between the stitches, nothing really unravels, and it just becomes a beautiful hole in the knit.
So that was all for now. Thank you for stopping by, don't forget to DIY!! :)
