Today is the last day of Iik! Week in Linnanmäki (Helsinki, Finland). This is a time period between 7th and 22nd of September, when ghouls and ghosts take over our beloved amusement park. I haven't been to the amusement park in years and years, last time I was maybe 10 years old. For the record, I just turned 33.
The aesthetics of this event has always very much interested me, and I have tried to get to be a part of this for as long as I have known about the event. This year I finally got there! Last year I moved out of Helsinki just before this even took place.
We arrived at Linnanmäki at 4pm, and stayed late, a little over 9pm. I took my better camera with me in the hopes of getting amazing pictures. I kind of wish I had taken both of my lenses with me, as the one I left at home is f1.8, and that might have helped as I took pictures in the dark as well. The daylight pictures aren't as interesting, as there is just something different in pictures that are dark and littered with lights. I was using a zoom lense, which made my life a lot easier, as there were SO MANY people who would just walk straight into your arms while you were filming. AHH.
